1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

  • “Lingovillas,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to the owner of this website and provider of translation and language services.
  • “Client,” “you,” or “your” refers to the individual or business engaging Lingovillas for services.
  • “Services” refer to the translation, localization, interpretation, and any other language services provided by Lingovillas.

2. General Terms of Use

  • The content provided on this website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. For specific queries, please contact us directly.
  • By submitting a service request, you confirm that you have the authority to engage Lingovillas and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
  • Separate agreements may apply to specific projects or clients, as negotiated between you and Lingovillas.

3. Payment Terms

a) Prices and Invoices

  • Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, prices for our services are based on word count, language pair, document complexity, and turnaround time. Additional fees may apply for urgent requests, certified translations, or specialized terminology.
  • Upon completion of the service, an invoice will be issued to the Client. Interim invoices may be issued for large projects exceeding 30 days in duration.
  • All prices are subject to applicable taxes, including VAT where required by law.

b) Payment Deadlines

  • Payments are due within 30 days from the invoice date unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • Payment may be required upfront before work commences for new clients or urgent services.
  • Late payments may incur interest charges at a rate of 3% above the base rate of [Your Local Bank] per annum or the maximum rate allowed by law, whichever is less.

c) Refund Policy

  • Refunds are only issued in cases where Lingovillas fails to deliver the agreed-upon services.
  • Once a translation project has commenced, cancellation by the Client may result in charges for work already completed, including project management fees and translator costs.

4. Sending and Handling Documents

  • Clients may send documents to us via email, our secure online portal, or by other agreed-upon methods. Lingovillas is not liable for delays or damages caused by transmission errors outside of our control.
  • Accepted file formats include but are not limited to Word, PDF, Excel, and PowerPoint. If a different format is required, please confirm with us in advance.
  • The Client is responsible for ensuring all submitted materials are free from viruses or malware.

5. Confidentiality and Security

  • Lingovillas treats all documents and information provided by Clients with strict confidentiality.
  • We adhere to secure data handling practices to protect sensitive materials.
  • If required, we are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for additional assurance.

6. Delivery and Turnaround Times

  • Delivery timelines will be confirmed upon project acceptance. While we strive to meet agreed deadlines, unforeseen circumstances may result in delays. Clients will be notified promptly of any changes.
  • Urgent translation requests are available, subject to availability and additional fees.
